V piatok sme si urobili menší výlet do Viedne - na poslednú chvíľu prišlo pozvanie na zasadnutie Austria National Platform. Nedostatok času ani vysoké teploty nás neodradili, rozhodli sme sa spojiť príjemné s užitočným a predstaviť projekt Mini-Erasmus našim rakúskym kamarátom.
Last Friday we made a little trip to Vienna - a last-minute invitation to Austria National Platform meeting arrived. Neither the lack of time nor the high temperatures haven't discouraged us, we have decided to combine business with pleasure and introduce Mini-Erasmus project to our Austrian friends.
Austria National Platform je riadiaci orgán rakúskej ESN. Možnosť ukázať tu našu prácu nám spravilo obrovskú radosť. Rozšíriť Mini-Erasmus do zahraničia je jeden z našich dlhodobých cieľov.
Austria National Platform is the executive body of Austrian ESN. We were very grateful for the opportunity to present our work there. Expansion of our project abroad is one of our long-term goals.

Matúš stručne oboznámil všetkých zvedavcov s podstatou projektu (video si môžte pozrieť tu), potom nasledovali otázky. Tie boli pre nás príjemným prekvapením - na podobných valných zhromaždeniach zvyčajne padne len zopár otázok, my sme nimi boli priam zavalení. Pýtali sa nás na riešenie ubytovania, spôsob výberu stredoškolákov, vekové omedzenia... Rakúske školstvo je na inej úrovni ako naše a je otázne, ako by cross-border fungoval v praxi.
Matúš briefly introduced the main idea of the project (you can watch the video here), then the discussion followed. The questions surprised us very positively - usually at the meetings like this people ask only a few questions, but we were literally swamped with them. They asked how we solve the accomodation, how we choose the students, if we have any age limits... Austrian educational system is quite different and it is questionable, whether the cross-border would really work.

Aj napriek tomu, že naša prezentácia bola na programe posledná (a hneď za ňou nasledovala dlho očakávaná večera), záujem členov rakúskej National Platform bol naozaj veľký. Šlo len o prvotné nadšenie a na Mini-Erasmus zabudli hneď ako skončilo zasadnutie? Alebo sa náš projekt rozrastie smerom na západ?
Čas ukáže.
Despite the fact that our presentation was the last on the schedule (and the big, expected dinner followed), the interest of Austrian National Platform members was really huge. Was it only the initial enthusiasm and they have all forgotten the Mini-Erasmus right after our meeting? Or the project will grow to the west one day?
Only time will tell.
